Seasonal Floorcare Strategy

The first day of winter is officially Dec. 21, but depending on what area of the country you’re in, the slush, snow and ice may be greeting you sooner. And you know what this means for your building entrances and floors: leaves, debris and ice melt. Make this the year you get ahead of the weather with indoor and outdoor floor mats and mops to help keep up appearances and safety.

One approach to consider to reduce slips and falls at the entrance of your building is the one-two punch of a scraper and dry mat system. A scraper mat outside the entryway helps remove dirt and snow from shoes. It is engineered to trap soils below the surface. Right inside the doorway, a classic mat allows guests to wipe off additional debris and water.
